How to License Microsoft Viva

Microsoft Viva is an employee experience platform (EXP) that integrates with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Viva has tools and applications for communication and feedback, analytics, goals, and learning.

Viva Connections: The new intranet for your organization where internal updates can be shared. Connections is available on every device.

Viva Engage: Better known as Yammer, it is a Facebook-like platform where employees can communicate and share experiences and important updates.

Viva Insights: Offers data-driven insights and recommendations to improve productivity and well-being.

Viva Learning: A learning platform with add-ins from multiple sources like LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Learn, and other third-party providers.

Viva Topics: Uses AI to organize content and expertise, providing you with knowledge in the context of your work.

Viva Goals: Helps track and align your goals and objectives/OKRs.

Viva Amplify: Allows you to create and manage campaigns.

Viva Glint: Enables you to manage and create surveys and 360-degree feedback.

Viva Pulse: A survey solution for managers and project leaders.

Viva Sales: Connects different apps like Outlook, CRM, and Teams for your sellers.

How to license Microsoft Viva?

The easiest way to start is to build it up from your M365 user licenses. M365 F1, F3, E1, E3, and E5 already provide you with rights to Viva Engage, Viva Connections, and Viva Learning (basic).

Office/M365 E3, in addition to the F-Plans, grants you access to Viva Insights (basic), while E5 gives you the right to use Viva Insights Premium.

The other Viva products are all available as standalone licenses, or you could buy the Viva Suite, which includes Viva Connections, Engage, Amplify, Insights, Glint, Pulse, Goals, and Learning.
